Buyer Beware April 14, 2009 Reviewer:  Never Again See all my reviews >

Don't expect to get your money's worth with this set. I previously owned a Sony color TV for 20+ years and sold it at a yard sale (still worked fine). I purchased a KDL-32ML130 about 15 months ago, and it also worked fine--for 14.5 months. Then the screen went mostly black, everyone's face on screen turned red, and all the images ghosted and trailed.

The repair shop determined that the display panel and 'T-con' (whatever that is) were bad, and that it would cost more to replace the parts than it would cost to buy a new TV. The repairman told me to contact Sony and that they might offer to replace the set even though the one-year warranty had expired.

So I called Sony's 800 number and was told, basically, 'tough luck.'

Moral of story: Sony ain't the company it used to be. If you want to purchase one of their junk products, I suggest that you also purchase an extended warranty.

Perfect April 22, 2008 Reviewer:  Jonathan Coole "Blkant" Real Name (Fl)  See all my reviews >

while its true that the Sony Bravia is quite pricy, its worth it, this is the third 32"HD ive had, and the only that didn't support 1080P, but is by far the best, i got tired of playing games on the previous monitors with they're high resolution and yet horrible frame refresh rates. With modern gaming reaching new highs hd tvs are needed, but with that so are high framerates, something only sony has come to understand with smaller lines of HDTV's. There is no question that this is my third HDTV, and my LAST. It has gone well beyond my expectations and fulfilled my needs. no joke. [...]

Very good tv, especially for the money April 7, 2008 Reviewer:  Al (central va)  See all my reviews >

I bought one of these from my local target a few days ago and I am very satisfied.

The tv is not heavily loaded with extra features but it has all the "essentials" and a very good rich picture with a nice dark black level. Excellent color reproduction and enhancement engine. 720p looks as good at 32 inches as my friends 1080p sony does at 46". No issues there.

I only had to tweak the settings a very small amount to achieve a perfect picture. For most it is good out of the box though. I like a cool backdrop on my standard setting, everything else is real good like it is and that is a rare experience for a videophile like me.

I expect what I pay for and this is my third hdtv in 4 years so I know what to expect. I bought this one for my game lounge and it is very good for video games as well as any tv source. The response is very fast with no blurring or trails like lesser lcd's. I am VERY happy to report no dead pixels or mura defects- (the uneven liquid crystal dispursement problem sometimes found in lcd sets).

I tried 5 different 40 inch sets last summer from another retailer all of which had serious problems with the picture as well as the condition I recieved them in.
It is nice to finally get one that has been well handled and is not a return being sold as new like some other places do.

My parents bought a 40 inch sony a month ago and my sister got this tv at the same time I did, all 3 from target and all ours are great. It seems target has good factory fresh stock from my experience. I wish I had bought here last summer! Funny we all three got good tv's here on the first try and I got 5 bad ones in a row somewhere else.

I like this tv and reccomend it highly to other people. I like that it is the perfect size for games where I sit (6 feet away). I am very picky and my friends were surprised how happy I am with this set as I am hard to impress.
If you are looking for a very good hdtv for a fair price this is a good candidate.

My Opinions February 22, 2008 Reviewer:  S. Lavergne "Steve" Real Name (RI)  See all my reviews >

Finally a Sony model in the modest price range. All the things you have come to expect from sony are delivered in this model with the exception of price. Sony does need to improve their menu and features, for example Auto-wide doesn't do anyhing. Overall for the price you should be very delighted.

This television is incredible right out of the box. All you need is a power source and a signal, and it looks incredible. Even with standard cable and no hd signal, the picture is crisp and clear. There are more inputs than you can use. The Sony PS2 looks great using component video - you don't need an HD source to enjoy this beautiful television set. Well worth the money!!! Do not go with cheaper televisions, you will lose the quality on the clarity and color depth.
